Graham Maunders of AiRS will provide specific ways and means of setting up a CLT. This is a way of providing local homes for local people but requires the community to be involved in the running of the Community Land Trust. If you are interested in helping the community achieve homes for local people come along and find out more.
What is a Community Land Trust?
Community Land Trusts (CLTs) are local organisations set up and run by ordinary people to develop and manage homes as well as other assets important to the community, like community enterprises, food production or workspaces. The CLT’s main task is to make sure homes are genuinely affordable, based on what people actually earn in their area, not just for now but for every future occupier.
